How to go to Balete, Batangas?

Take Lipa City-bound bus. Ask the driver to drop you off at SM Lipa. Cross the road and take a Tanauan or LIMA-bound jeepney. Ask the driver to drop you off at Levitown. There are Balete-bound jeepneys across the road from Levitown. The commute takes around 15-30 minutes from SM Lipa.

By Private Car

Drive to STAR (Southern Tagalog Arterial Road) Tollway via the South Luzon Express Way (SLEX). Take the Balete exit and turn right.

As of posting, the municipality of Balete and the whole of Batangas is under Alert Level 1 where inter and intrazonal travels are allowed. If one is to enter private and public establishments,  he is required to observe minimum health protocols and may be asked to present a proof of vaccination ID.

Unlike other coastal municipalities that surround the Taal Volcano, Balete remained relatively unscathed. More notably, some areas in the Municipality of Balete now serves as an evacuation site for the residents of the volcano island.

What are the best things to do in Balete? 

Balete is considered as the Biking Capital of Southern Batangas thanks to its mild ascents and rolling terrain. At the end of the road is a majestic view of Lake Taal and the world famous Binintiang Malaki.

Religious pilgrims also frequent Balete since it is home to a number of chapels including the Marian Orchard and Nuestra Señora dela Paz y Buen Viaje Parish Church.
